Do these need direct sunlight to charge, or do they work on cloudy days?
They charge on cloudy days too, though a full sunny day gives the strongest charge. Even with partial sun, most customers see 6–8 hours of light. Full sun gives the full 12–14 hours.

How tall are these once installed?
